| 1. Exactly what is the Femdom Banner Exchange? |

The Femdom Banner Exchange is both a FREE (and paid *) banner exchange program which
helps you promote your Dominant Female-related web site on the
Internet. Let's face it. The web has become so vast, it's harder
than ever to get exposure for your site and getting good
placement in the major search engines is almost impossible for
kinky sites in general and especially for new Dommes. We provide this
service to help you get the exposure you need to promote your
Femdom site. All we ask in return for your free membership is
for you to display one of our SissyLand banners on your site.
We'll be glad to cover the costs of delivery; but we do require
you to display our banner on your site.

| 2. What's unique about the
Femdom Banner Exchange? What are its benefits? |
|
First, it's TARGETED! Only web sites promoting the Female
Dominant Lifestyle or with related information, products or services are allowed to
participate. This usually means the people viewing your banner ad
already have these interests and may want to visit your site too.
Second, there are no surprises and it's PREAPPROVED!
Every member of our exchange knows you're a Professional Domina
and has agreed to display your banner in exchange for you displaying
theirs. In short, you're joining a world-wide network of like-minded
professionals who understand and share your interests, your
goals, your lifestyle and your business objectives!
Third, it's GLOBAL! By joining the Femdom
Banner Exchange you'll instantly put your banner on dozens of Femdom
sites world-wide with a single membership.
Fourth, we're NOT A 'TOPLIST'! Toplists are
designed to display ONLY the banners of the most popular sites. As such,
they give their members a built-in incentive to cheat; because if your site
isn't among the top 20 or 30 sites in their list, your banner basically
gets buried and may never be displayed. In the Femdom Banner
Exchange every free member's site gets an equal chance to be displayed. We don't
play favorites and we don't reward sites that devise elaborate schemes to
'cheat the system' either.
We sometimes catch members trying to cheat by joining the exchange more than
once for free. They do that, because it increases the chance of
their banner being displayed. That's against our rules. We allow
each Domme just one free membership. You can buy one paid membership
for $90/year PREPAID ($7.50/month). A second paid membership is $60
(that's $150 total or $75 each). Your third paid membership is just
$30 (that's $180 total or $60 each). Add a fourth paid membership for
another $20 (that's $200 total or $50 each). A dozen paid memberships
cost just $300!
We hand-check the exchange and visit each site periodically.
If your site appears in our list more than once, and you haven't paid
for extra memberships ALL your memberships may be cancelled without
warning and you'd be banned from joining the exchange again.
The rules are simple. The system is fair and honest. That's FAR more
than the average 'Toplist' can ever claim.
We have seen some smart Dommes list gifts of Additional Paid
Memberships and/or extra display credits on the "Wish List" page of
their web sites as possible gift items from clients, applicants, fans and
worshipers. Payments for display credits can be paid via PayPal
by sending money to FemdomExchange@Sissyland.com. Please instruct
your admirers to include your Member Name and email address in their
PayPal "Send Money" message window so we can get the display credits
applied to your member account promptly! We'll also send you a note
whenever such a gift arrives.

Fifth, (this is a biggie) there are NO FREE
LOADERS! When you agree to put another Domme's banner on
your server and display it from there, you're effectively agreeing to pay her
advertising bill. Each time you display her banner on your pages it's
displayed from YOUR server and you use part of YOUR available
bandwidth to do so. In short, your web host charges YOU for the cost of
delivering HER banner. Ask them! We promise this is true. When the
banner comes from YOUR server, YOU get charged for the bandwidth.
It's that simple.
What we do instead, is request each member's banner direct from her own
server and deliver it to you on demand when we need it to display on your
site. By requesting and delivering banners this way, each member pays for
her OWN advertising because it's HER server that delivers HER banner.
Thus she pays the delivery cost.
Sixth, updates are FAST, EASY and PAINLESS!
Our delivery method gives you instant and TOTAL CONTROL.
Since we ALWAYS request your banner direct from your server, you can
update your banner on dozens of sites at once in the blink of an eye.

1992 was the year we conceived and built
the first version of SissyLand.com – a site which began its life on AOL.
In fact, we claim the dubious distinction that our first site
attracted so many visitors so fast AOL “knocked it down" after 9 days
because the site had already welcomed almost 10,000 visitors. Over the
years since we’ve designed and built many sites on both sides of the
kink/vanilla divide. And believe it or not several of our earliest
Femdom sites, like SissyLand itself, are still around and being
actively visited – not to mention booking sessions for their Femdom
owners – to this very day.
Like our kinky lifestyle resume, our list of past and present web
projects includes an impressive list of sites ranging from large multi-purpose
commercial sites designed and built for small to mid-sized
corporations down to small single-purpose sites designed for both
“mom and pop” and “Domme and Cat” businesses. But for 15 years our
passion has been building sophisticated sites to support and
promote the Femdom lifestyle.
There are probably many reasons why some of our earliest Femdom clients
still rely on us to provide their web development and support
many years after we helped them get started on the web. But we
think it’s because we care and we're very good at what we do,
because we respect and understand what they do and how they make their
living, and because we still support them loyally more than
a decade after sister Dommes, their web sites, their webmasters
and all their admirers vanished into thin air.
The fact is even now we’re working on several new web projects designed to
benefit and support the US and global Femdom Community. Though this isn't
the time or place to discuss those projects, we may have more to say about
them later.
We thought it might be comforting to know the creator of the Femdom
Banner Exchange is also a business that’s been designing, building,

| 3. How does the Femdom Banner Exchange work? |
|
After joining our
exchange, you will have a login name, password and some HTML
code to place on 1 or more pages of your web site. This code is what tells
our server you need a banner to display on your site, sends the visitor to
the right site when they click that banner, and records the number of
credits you have earned. For every three (3) banners you display on your
site, you'll receive two (2) credits in Femdom Banner Exchange. Each
credit is redeemed when your banner is displayed on another member's site.
It's that simple!
You may insert the HTML code only once for each page of your site; but
the number of pages using this code is entirely up to you, as long as it
appears only once per page. Remember, the more pages that contain our code,
the more credits you earn toward displaying your banner elsewhere. When you
join the Femdom Banner Exchange, you'll receive 50,000 display
credits to get you started. We'll check your site periodically and as
long as you're a member in good standing (i.e. the Femdom Banner
Exchange banners AND the SissyLand banner are still displaying
on your site), we'll ensure you have at least 25,000 credits available to
cover you for the next few months.

| 4. Can I remove the 'Join the Femdom Banner
Exchange' link from the Code Block? |
|
No. Please don't change
our code except as we instruct you to. Our rules require you to post our
Code Blocks unmodified for good reasons. Posting the code in unmodified
form is important. Read on to learn why...
Changing our code is a great way to witness the law of "Unintended
Consequences" in action. We're not being arbitrary. There are
solid technology reasons why we ask you not to change our code.
We added this rule because even seemingly minor changes can
produce BIG unexpected impacts in the way the banner exchange works.
For example, many members have tried to change the code so that the
member's site opens in a new window. That certainly seems like
an innocuous change to make. But due to the way web browsers
work, opening the visited site in a new window keeps your account
from earning a visit credit when the visited member's
site is displayed. The software relies on using data
in the original window to credit your account with the click; but the
visitor's browser doesn't pass all the data it has on to the
new window when it opens it. Without the missing data, your exchange
account never gets credit for the click.
Similar unintended consequences happen if you remove the
"Join" link. Removing that link means your account will never receive
the display credit bonus referring members normally get when a
new member joins the exchange by clicking the "Join" link on their
site. For that reason we recommend not removing the "Join"
link either.
Speaking of the new member referral bonus, here's how that
works... When a potential exchange member visits your site, clicks
your "Join" link and joins the Exchange our software records your account
as the one that referred the member. Later, after that new member
has been approved, the software adds 10,000 new display
credits to your account as the referrer. Usually if your account runs
out of display credits the software quietly stops displaying your
banner until your account earns, buys or is granted more credits.
Extra display credits cost $10 for 10,000 credits. Thus getting 10,000
display credits for free when a new member joins through your site
is the digital equivalent of putting $10 in your pocket. So, even
though unused display credits aren't redeemable for cash if you
leave the exchange or are removed from our member list, earning them
through banner displays and referrals helps keep your member
account solvent and could eliminate the need for you to buy
display credits when your account runs out.
Under the circumstances we recommend leaving the "Join" link in place.
Over time, it could save you lots of cash.

| 5. Where does the banner
have to appear? |
|
To make the exchange
program successful for all members, the banner ad must appear where
it will be seen by your visitors. We don't require placement on the top
of your pages or on your entry page. But we do require that the banner
must be visible to the majority of your visitors. In short, don't
bury the banner at the bottom of a page where no one sees it! This
rule is designed to give all members good exposure (including you). Our
staff makes periodic site checks to insure all members comply with this
rule. If your page or pages are found to not meet this requirement, your
account will be suspended until the necessary changes are made. Repeat
abusers of this rule will be terminated and won't be allowed to join
the Exchange in the future.

| 6. What are the
membership requirements for the Femdom Banner Exchange? |
|
Any web site that
contains Dominant Female related information, products or services and
has access to a banner ad is qualified for membership. There are presently no membership fees. The only thing we ask in return is
that you feature one of our SissyLand banners somewhere on your website.

specifications? |

- All
banner ads must be standard 468x60 pixels.
- The target maximum size
is 30k but our software accepts up to 40k. Anything larger is not allowed.
- Animation is OK but, the maximum size still applies.
We do custom design Femdom banners... but we charge for that service. In fact, many of the banners
you'll see in the Exchange are ones we created! All the banners on this page are
examples of our banner design work. And they all meet the specified size limit.

additional banner display credits? |
|
Yes, display credits
can be purchased. Display credits cost $10 for 10,000
credits, $20 for 22,500 credits or $40 for 50,000 credits. In
our experience a typical Femdom Banner Exchange account
uses roughly 8,000 display credits plus all the credits
the account earns each month. So, under normal circumstances,
50,000 credits should satisfy your account's needs for about
6 months.
We have seen several Dommes include gifts of Femdom Banner
Exchange display credits and Additional Paid Memberships
on the "Wish List" pages of their sites as desirable gifts
from clients, applicants, fans and worshipers. Payments for
display credits can be sent via PayPal by sending money to
FemdomExchange@Sissyland.com. Be sure to instruct your admirers
to include your Member Name and email address in the
comments field of their Paypal payment so we can get the
display credits added to your account promptly. We'll also
send you a note whenever such a gift arrives.

| 10. Can I join the exchange even if I don't display
banners on my site? |
|
Yes, you can
buy paid memberships in the exchange. But paid memberships
are still limited to Femdom or Femdom-related sites. A prepaid
annual membership costs just $90 a year ($7.50/month). Two
prepaid memberships cost $150 a year ($75 each). Three
prepaid memberships cost $180 a year ($60 each). Four prepaid

| 11. I joined the exchange
and get thousands of banner requests but few visitors. Why? |
|
The short answer is
you're probably not counting all your visitors. For an accurate,
up-to-the-minute view of your Femdom Banner Exchange
displays and visitors stats, visit our Home Page
and click the "Member Statistics" link. To learn why your server doesn't
reflect these results, read the next few paragraphs.
Low click-through results in your server stats can be explained partly
by the way our software works, partly by the way your server works and
partly by how effective your banner is at attracting the eye of
visitors. Here's the scoop...
The way our software works, the Femdom Banner Exchange doesn't
actually deliver any visitors to your site. It only requests your
banner on behalf of our members. All visitors you receive from the
exchange are recorded by your server as coming from the member site
that was displaying your banner when it got clicked. Since they
displayed the banner, they get the credit for sending you a
visitor. That's the way your server works. The number of times we requested your banner is
reflected in the number of times your banner was downloaded.
But banner clicks are reflected in all the visitors you
see in your stats who came from Femdom sites you may (or may not)
have ever heard of.
More specifically, you'll see thousands of requests for
your banner from SissyLand even if you've never linked
to that site; but the visitor counts may seem low. That happens
for two reasons...
- Sissyland displays thousands of Femdom
Banner Exchange banners each month even though they're NOT a member
of the exchange. We allow that because they host the exchange. See, this page
to prove that. While you're there, be sure to refresh the page a few times
and watch what happens. Each time your banner is displayed there
and gets clicked, your server records a visitor from
SissyLand. But remember, Sissyland is just one of the many sites displaying your banner.
- Sissyland appears in your stats primarily because they issue
all requests for your banner on behalf of our members. Each time
your banner is displayed on any exchange member's site, SissyLand
gets "blamed" as the site that requested it. But when your
banner gets clicked, it's the member's site that gets credit for
that click. That's the way your server records it. So, to
accurately compute your click-through results from your server
stats you need to include all visitors that arrived from our
member sites to know the total number of clicks your banner received.
Fortunately, our software does those calculations for you. Just
visit our Home Page
and click the "Member Statistics" link for an accurate and
up-to-the-minute view of your Femdom Banner Exchange stats.
Typical results over the long term will be in the 1% - 3% range.
Our advice to all members is if your banner produces click-through
results lower than 1.5%, you should replace it. It's no longer
attracting the attention it should. It's not unusual for new
well-designed banners to produce click-through rates as high as
8% - 10%.

| 12. What happens if my
account runs out of display credits? |
|
When an account runs
out of display credits, the software stops displaying your banner
until your account earns, buys or is given more credits. No emails
are sent and no messages are displayed. In fact no one knows
your account is out of credits except our software and you if
you're paying attention. When your supply of display credits runs
out, your banner just doesn't get displayed as often as it was
before until the situation is corrected. One good way to correct
this is to put our banners on more pages of your site. Another is
to change the location of our banners on your pages by moving
them higher up on the pages where they already appear. Display
credits can also be purchased. See Can I buy
additional banner display credits? for details.
If your account runs out of credits and there are NO new credits
coming from your site because our banners are no longer being
displayed there, the software waits 30 days before it marks your
account as "dormant" and stops displaying your banner entirely.
When we conduct our periodic reviews of all Femdom Banner
Exchange members, the sites of dormant members are hand-checked.
If your site has disappeared or we can't find our banners on
your pages, your membership is cancelled and you are removed from
our member list.
For this reason, we recommend each member visit our Home Page
and click the "Member Statistics" link there at least once a month
to check the status of her account and confirm that it has enough
display credits to carry her through the next month. These
periodic visits are also a good time to check how effective your
banner is at attracting visitor clicks. Typical results over the
long term will be in the 1% - 3% range. Our advice to all members
is if your banner produces click-through results lower than 1.5%,
you should replace it. It's no longer attracting the attention it
should. It's not unusual for new well-designed banners to produce
click-through rates as high as 8% - 10%. The banners we create
often deliver click-rates that high or higher. If you need help
